Talentor is a seasoned partner in executive search for IT professionals. For over 18 years, we have assisted our clients in finding software developers, system architects, testers, project managers, development managers, program managers, cybersecurity experts, and executives through direct search methods.
Executive Search for IT Professionals
Talentor’s executive search is a recruitment process carried out with high-quality standards through direct contacts. We distinguish ourselves with a strong understanding of the IT industry and a unique approach that captures the interest of candidates in our clients’ roles. This is crucial because experienced IT professionals in Finland are still in high demand, receiving constant inquiries from various organizations.
Stages and Duration of Executive Search
Initiation and Brochure Creation
We thoroughly immerse ourselves in our client’s organization, strategy, and work culture. We identify the tasks, responsibilities, technologies, development methods, working environment, and expectations for the role to best answer candidate inquiries. Subsequently, we create a comprehensive brochure about the client company and the position to generate interest among potential candidates. Additionally, we develop a unique Talentor extranet site for candidates, providing consolidated information about the offered role, team, technologies, development opportunities, and access to materials such as videos introducing the client’s operations.
Candidate Mapping – 2 Weeks
We search for and present candidates meeting the criteria to the client typically within 2 weeks of initiating the assignment. The client can review the candidate list in advance and confirm individuals with whom we can be in contact confidentially. This step may be omitted for non-executive recruitments. We systematically and comprehensively map candidates using modern data sources, extensive registries, and traditional research methods. Each assignment undergoes a tailored executive search study, leveraging industry, company, role, and expertise analyses.
Candidate Presentation to the Client – 2 Weeks
We contact candidates meeting the criteria, interview them, and present the most suitable candidates to the client approximately 2 weeks after the client approves the candidate list. For executive-level recruitments, the application period is usually 3-4 weeks. We present candidates through written interview reports and often include video introductions. Talentor consultants conduct video interviews where predetermined questions are posed to the candidate, with the specific part recorded with the candidate’s consent. Talentor has successfully used this method in Finland since 2008.
Client Interviews
We organize schedules for interviews between the client and candidates and participate as needed to support the recruiting manager. With the prevalence of remote work, initial interviews are often conducted through video conferencing.
Work Simulations
Upon the client’s request, Talentor can conduct customized technical work simulations for candidates. These simulations can also be recorded. In executive-level positions, work simulations are often tailored based on business needs.
References and Decision-making
Talentor assists the client in second-round interviews and verifies candidate references if needed. We can also support contract negotiations between the candidate and the client if desired.

Traditional methods of recruiting through public advertisements have yielded poor results for several years. Companies are increasingly turning to direct search methods. The shortage of experienced professionals has also led to an increase in candidate salary expectations. Besides development opportunities, flexibility, technology, and team spirit, salary plays an increasingly significant role as candidates consider transitioning to a new employer.
